• Children are welcome at First Reformed Church, and we celebrate their presence with us!
• Sunday school is offered throughout the school year. Each week, the children learn a Bible story, then engage with it imaginatively in conversation while coloring together.
• Children begin the worship service with their families, learning to participate in intergenerational worshiping community.
• A dynamic children’s message takes place about 20 minutes after the beginning of worship, sharing the themes of the scriptures through a visual example, a short activity, a song, or a story book. -After the children’s message, children depart with their teachers for a time of Sunday school.
• Infants and pre-verbal toddlers typically stay with their families throughout worship.
• On the first Sunday of each month, there is no Sunday school so that all generations may participate together in Communion.

The Church Choir performsregularly and brings

a sound and presence that belie its size!

Our Men’s Group meets weekly on Wednesdays at 7:30am. Other programs are offered throughout the year, including Bible studies, book groups, and theology and spirituality classes. 

• We partner with a variety of local and international organizations for hands-on mission and financial support, including:
• 
  Hastings Helps the Hungry — First Reformed Church hosts and participates in this organization that prepares meals for a local shelter
  RIP Medical Debt – First Reformed Church has partnered with this national philanthropic organization that purchases securitized medical debts in order to relieve the financial burdens placed upon unfortunate individuals unable to pay for health care they have received.  In 2023, our contributions eliminated the medical debts of 2,912 residents of Westchester and our neighboring counties.https://unduemedicaldebt.org/#

• We are delighted to partner with our Artists in Residence, Angelica Women’s Chamber Choir. Angelica rehearses and performs here at First Reformed Church. They also contribute music to some of our Sunday worship services. You can learn more about Angelica here.
